Purpose Statement:
The purpose of this study is to compare four course design
activities/strategies to determine the most effective in building a community
of inquiry in an online course for undergraduate students.
Research Questions:
1. What is the level of Teaching Presence, Social Presence
and Cognitive presence felt by the students in this course?
2. To what extent does the course activity/strategy change
the level of Teaching, Social, and Cognitive Presence?
3. Is the course design a factor in students perceptions of a
Community of Inquiry?
